Top Websites by Industry
The 100 most visited sites in any industry
What Is the Top Websites by Industry?
Pick a country and an industry, and Top Websites by Industry lists the 100 most visited sites in it, from Semrush's traffic rankings. Each site comes with its monthly visits, its share of the group's traffic, how it changed on the month and on the year, how much of its traffic is mobile and where most of its visitors come from. A chart of the group's combined visits shows whether the market as a whole is growing.
Key Features
How the Ranking Works
Semrush files sites under industries and estimates each one's monthly visits from its own traffic data. The ranking covers all of a site's traffic, not only search, so a brand that most people reach by typing its address can still sit near the top. Industries are Semrush's categories, which is why a site occasionally lands somewhere you wouldn't have filed it.
What Concentration Tells You
When the top 10 sites take most of the visits, a few names own the market and a newcomer has to win on a niche. When traffic is spread across the list, there's room to break in. The fastest-growing chart picks out the sites among the top 50 that gained the most on the month, a quick way to see who's coming up.
Mobile and Traffic Sources
Mobile share comes from each site's desktop and mobile visit counts. The main source is the channel that brings the most visitors: direct, search, referral, social, paid or email. A market where the leaders live on search rewards SEO, and one ruled by direct traffic rewards a brand people already know.
Common Use Cases
- Sizing a market before you launch into it
- Building a competitor list for a new industry or country

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Top Websites by Industry free?
Yes. It's free with a ProxyHorizon account, and every account gets 25 runs a day shared across all our data tools. You can read about the tool without signing in, but running it needs an account because each run fetches live data.
How current is the ranking?
It's the latest month Semrush has published, and the result shows the date it covers.
Why is a big site missing?
Each site sits in one Semrush industry, and it may not be the one you'd expect. A marketplace can be filed under retail rather than its main product category. Choose All industries to see every site in a country.
Are the visit numbers exact?
No. They're Semrush's estimates: good for comparing sites and spotting trends, but not a replacement for a site's own analytics.
Is this tool made by Semrush?
No. It reads Semrush's public rankings through a third-party data provider. ProxyHorizon isn't affiliated with Semrush.
Do you store my results?
No. We log which tool you ran, what you entered and when, so we can apply the daily limit. Results aren't saved, so export them as CSV or JSON if you want to keep them.
