What Is the Proxy Checker?
Our free Proxy Checker tests and validates proxy servers in bulk, right in your browser. Paste a list of proxies and instantly see which are alive, how fast they respond, what anonymity level they offer, and where they are located — with results streaming in as each proxy is checked. It is the fastest way to clean a proxy list before you scrape or automate.
Key Features
How the Proxy Checker Works
Paste your proxy list in any common format (IP:Port or with credentials), choose the protocol, and the checker connects to each proxy and runs a live request through it. It records whether the connection succeeded, the round-trip latency, the exit IP it resolved to, and whether your real IP leaked — classifying each proxy as dead, working, or elite. Results appear progressively so you never wait for the whole batch.
Why You Should Test Proxies Before Using Them
Proxy lists decay constantly — IPs go offline, get banned, or slow to a crawl. Running an unverified list through a scraper wastes requests, corrupts your dataset with failures, and can leak your real IP if a "proxy" is actually transparent. A quick validation pass removes dead and risky proxies so your automation runs on a clean, fast pool.
Common Use Cases
- Cleaning a freshly purchased or scraped proxy list before scraping
- Verifying that paid proxies deliver their advertised speed and anonymity
- Filtering a large pool down to only elite, high-anonymity proxies
- Diagnosing why a scraper is returning blocks or timeouts
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this proxy checker free?
Yes, the proxy checker is completely free with no login required. You can test proxies in bulk as often as you need, and the cleaned results are yours to export.
What proxy formats are supported?
It accepts the common formats including IP:Port, IP:Port:Username:Password, and protocol-prefixed URLs. It supports HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 proxies, so most lists work without reformatting.
What does anonymity level mean?
Anonymity level describes how much a proxy reveals. Transparent proxies pass your real IP through, anonymous proxies hide it but signal that a proxy is in use, and elite proxies hide both — making your traffic look like an ordinary direct connection.
Are my proxies sent to a server?
Checks are performed to validate connectivity, so the proxy endpoints are contacted during testing. Your list is used only to run the checks and is never stored or shared.
Why are some of my proxies showing as dead?
A proxy can fail because it is offline, overloaded, blocked by the target, or requires authentication you did not provide. Dead results usually mean the proxy is no longer usable and should be removed from your pool.
