What Is the X (Twitter) Post Analyzer?

The X (Twitter) Post Analyzer shows the public metrics of any post on X: views, likes, reposts, replies, quotes and bookmarks. It works out engagement by views and by followers, lists the post's links, hashtags and media, and shows the author's profile with follower counts.

The author's profile, followers and following
Works with x.com and twitter.com links

Two Ways to Measure Engagement

Engagement by views tells you how many people who saw a post interacted with it, which is the fairest way to compare posts. Engagement by followers tells you how a post did relative to the account's size, handy for spotting posts that broke out of the author's usual audience. X only started counting views in late 2022, so older posts show the follower-based rate alone.

Researching Posts at Scale

One post is easy to check by hand. Tracking hundreds for campaign reports, influencer vetting or academic research needs automation, and X heavily limits logged-out access. Scrapers that do this at volume rely on rotating residential proxies and careful rate limits.

Common Use Cases

  • Measuring a post's real reach for a campaign report
  • Comparing how competitors’ posts perform
  • Vetting influencers before a paid promotion
  • Collecting post data for research

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the X (Twitter) Post Analyzer free?

Yes. It's free with a ProxyHorizon account, and every account gets 25 runs a day shared across all our data tools. You can read about the tool without signing in, but running it needs an account because each run fetches live data.

Why are views missing?

X only started counting views in December 2022, so older posts don't have them.

Does it work for protected accounts?

No. Only public posts can be read.

What are bookmarks?

Bookmarks are private saves. Authors can't see who bookmarked a post, but the total is public, and it's a strong sign people found the post useful.

Are long posts supported?

Yes. Posts longer than 280 characters come back in full.
